Gas Leak Safety Procedures

Please call 770-387-5642 IMMEDIATELY, at any time, to report a gas leak.
 

Inside a Natural Gas Leak

1. A caller should give the address of the leak location.
2. Give the person's name who is calling to report the leak.
3. The caller should not operate any electric switches or devices.
4. The caller should extinguish all open flames; avoid using matches, cigarettes, or other sources of ignition.
5. The caller should evacuate the property immediately (go outside or to a neighbor's home, etc.)
6. The caller should give a phone number where they can be reached, other than the leak address since they must evacuate the building.
7. The on-call Gas Department Serviceman is being notified and will arrive as soon as possible.
