Emergency Response

The Cartersville Fire Department strives to keep Cartersville a safe and fire conscious city. Through technical training and education this department provides services in fire suppression, technical rescue, basic life support, trauma care and hazardous materials response.

Cartersville Fire Department is a Charter Member of TASK Force 6, Northwest Georgia’s Search and Rescue Team (GSAR). They are joint partners with Bartow County Fire Department to provide a level II hazardous material team. Cartersville Fire also is a member of the Georgia Mutual Aid Group and are active members with the Georgia Type III Incident Management Team.

Cartersville Fire Department has a history of reaching out and serving beyond Cartersville. From Hurricane Katrina to Hurricane Michael, from the intense fires of South Georgia to a lost child in the North Georgia Mountains, firefighters of CFD make an impact.
