Cartersville Fire Department Lieutenant Presented with GFIA Award

Lt. Jason Amerson was presented with a recognition award last week from the Georgia Fire Investigators Association (GFIA).

Lt. Amerson served as the president of the NW Georgia Fire Investigators Association (NWGFIA) in 2020 and will continue to serve another term starting in September. He has been very active within the GFIA and NWGFIA and has proven himself as a leader for the local chapter as evidenced with receipt of the GFIA Presidential Recognition Award at the Southeastern Annual Training Conference in Savannah last week. Jason was appointed to the by-laws review committee by the president of the GFIA this past year.

He was also been instrumental in bringing accredited training hours to the local NWGFIA Chapter through a number of highly recognized member of the fire investigation world.
