PRESS RELEASE: Cartersville's Fire Station #5 Coming Soon!

CARTERSVILLE, GA – On October 18, 2023, a major milestone was reached as we celebrated the groundbreaking of Fire Station #5, located at 51 Carter Grove Blvd in the Carter Grove Subdivision. This facility is scheduled to open and be in operation on January 1, 2025.

Fire Chief Scott Carter expressed his excitement, stating, "Today is an important day. I am humbled by the support for our responders from the community and our city leaders. I am excited to see this major enhancement in our response capabilities that will serve our citizens and guests for decades to come."

What makes this development even more extraordinary is that it comes at no cost to our taxpayers. The 8.38-acre site was made possible through the generous contributions of Carter Grove (Atlanta) ASLI VI, L.L.L.P, Avanti Properties Group, and the Avanti Management Corporation. The construction design is based on the successful models of Fire Stations #3 and #4, with the total turnkey budget of 8.7 million dollars derived from the sale of land within our industrial park. This initiative showcases Cartersville's responsible financial stewardship and commitment to community safety.

Fire Station #5's strategic location will significantly reduce response times to the west side of town, ensuring swift and efficient assistance during emergencies. This is a significant step towards maintaining our ISO 1 Rating, reflecting our dedication to excellence in fire protection services. The station will house a four-member fire engine, and provide additional housing for reserve equipment, a Fire Safety House, and River Rescue Units, further strengthening our ability to serve our community during various emergency situations.
