Mission Statement
The MISSION of the Cartersville Police Department is to: “Make Life Better Through Quality Service”. To attain this, the Agency enforces the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all persons.

The Agency recognizes that no law enforcement agency can operate at its maximum potential without supportive input from the citizens it serves. The Agency actively solicits and encourages the ­coopera­­tion of all citizens to reduce and limit the opportunities for crime and to facilitate the maximum use of resources. The Agency shall strive to achieve and maintain the highest level of professionalism possible. Certification/Accreditation shall be one method by which to achieve its mission. The mission statement shall be distributed to each employee.

The vision of the Cartersville Police Department is to be a progressive, innovative and technologically modern law enforcement agency that is prepared to meet the challenges of the present and future.
