CLICK HERE FOR RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY, OCTOBER 1, 2021 @ 11AM
The Goodyear Clubhouse was constructed in 1940 by the Goodyear Company mainly for employee functions.
Currently, the Goodyear Clubhouse is a City of Cartersville property that is operated and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department. It is used for Rentals as well as Recreation Programming.
This renovation project is funded in part through the voter approved Parks and Recreation General Obligation Bonds as well as Tourism Product Development Funds.
The building will continue to be used for rentals but also business functions, rehearsal dinners, intimate weddings and so much more. For more information on renting the Goodyear Clubhouse please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 770-607-6170 or click the link below.
Status Updates
The interior of the building has been completely demolished and the plan is to bring the building back to its original industrial feel. We removed the drop ceiling and paneled walls exposing the arch windows.
A new entrance and exit has been created.
A brand new kitchen with brand new appliances will be installed along with a new HVAC unit, plumbing, electrical as well as a men’s and women’s restroom. The Main Room will show the ceiling with the beams exposed, the brick walls and opened arch windows.
There will also be interior and exterior light fixtures and sconces that will give the building that old industrial feel.
We're aiming for the week of Labor Day for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. We'll keep you updated.
Lights and doors have been installed. Interior finishing touches are being added. All major projects are slated to be completed by August 25.
