Freddy Morgan

Freddy L. Morgan is the Assistant City Manager for the City of Cartersville,

Mr. Morgan is a dedicated public servant who has worked in local government for more than thirty years. He has served three municipalities as a Supervisor, Superintendent, Director, and Assistant City Manager. Mr. Morgan is well versed in the functions of local government and its primary focus on delivering quality service to its constituents.

He is a Cartersville native - born and raised in the Summer Hill community - and is a graduate of Cartersville High School. Mr. Morgan has a BAS from Southern Polytechnic State University and an MBA from Shorter University. He has a Certificate of Local Government Management from the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute and is a Region 5 graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development. Mr. Morgan is a Certified Retirement Plan Fiduciary through the Georgia Association of Public Pension Trustees and is a graduate of Leadership Cartersville-Bartow County and Leadership Newton County. Additionally, he is the Region 1 District Director for the Georgia City-County Management Association (GCCMA) and is also a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).

He is a married father of two children and a grandfather of one. Mr. Morgan enjoys spending time with his family and attending the activities of his grandson.
