Alcohol Control

Planning & Development Logo

The Alcohol Control Board [ACB] is comprised of seven [7] members, who reside in the city. These members are recommended by the Mayor and each Council Member and voted on by the City Council Members. Each ACB Member serves a four-year term, except the Mayor’s appointee, which will serve a two-year term.

ACB Members meet in the Council Chambers at 10:00 AM on the second Wednesday of every month, unless otherwise noted, to discuss new applications, violations, and complaints, along with rules and regulations.

All alcohol license, regardless of issuance date, expires on December 31st. Renewals and 3rd Quarter Reports are mailed in October. Currently, there is no online portal for renewal. Renewals can be brought into the office or mailed. If an alcohol license is not renewed by December 31st, the alcohol license will be suspended pending appearance and hearing with the ACB.

The Code of Ordinances for Alcoholic Beverages and the Alcohol Control Board can be found here.
