Noise Alert! Fairview Water Tank Paint Blasting

Does this look familiar? It's our Water Department's 5 million gallon water storage tank on Fairview Street. Well, it's about to receive a good ol' makeover with a whole new paint job, with work beginning the morning of Tuesday, August 24.

With that said, the old layers you see here will be blasted off by air compressors with steel bead blasting guns. Which means that it...WILL BE LOUD!

This project was put on pause initially, due to weather conditions.

The work will be done between 7am and 7pm, Monday through Saturday. Please expect the blasting to continue for about three weeks, weather permitting. We apologize because it's going to be a noisy project for those living in the Fairview area, but it's for the best - keeping our tank in great shape.
