Photo Contest: 2024 City Calendar
Due to popular demand, we’re thrilled to announce that the 2024 Calendar Photo Contest is back! Whether you capture the charm of downtown, the beauty of our parks and trails, the magic of sunsets, or the pure delight of your family enjoying our city– this is your opportunity to showcase Cartersville's finest moments. We can't wait to see YOUR stunning Cartersville snapshots featured in next year's City Calendar!
Less than 20 images will be chosen to be printed in the calendar, including the cover and monthly pages, so be sure to showcase your best work for the chance to share your picture with over 10,000 of our city's residents! Remember, for your image to truly shine, it must be high-resolution to capture every intricate detail.
Please adhere to these rules, as they must be followed in order for your image submission to be considered:
- Image MUST be taken in Cartersville, Georgia.
- No pics from Lake Allatoona [as beautiful as it is, it's unfortunately too far outside Cartersville].
- In the description section, please include your name, location of image, short pic description, and year image was taken.
- Please use a horizontal/landscape format image [wide shot], NOT vertical. Using your phone or tablet? Turn it sideways!
- If you're using a phone, avoid zooming in, as it causes the image to be grainy. Rather, step closer to your subject.
- Image submission ends Friday, October 27, 2023 @ 5:00pm. Photos submitted after October 27 will not be entered into the contest.
- Copyright Acknowledgement: By submitting, you acknowledge that you are the owner or copyright holder of the photograph and grant permission for the City of Cartersville to use it. You also acknowledge the City of Cartersville may need to resize or crop the image, for proper formatting, or may add verbiage to accommodate the image. You also acknowledge that the City of Cartersville may use your image in other locations or in other projects [featured on website, app, Facebook, print projects, etc.]. Images submitted featuring people must have approval of use from each person. We will credit the image with your name.
