Arthritis Class- This class consists of exercises to help range of motion in your joints and assist in gently stretching muscles. This class incorporates exercises specific to arthritis that can be used in an everyday routine. Most of this class will be in the middle of the pool at a depth of 4 feet. This is a great class for that individual who is new to aquatic therapy and who is suffering from arthritis. Difficulty level is none to low impact.
Deep Water Aerobics- Lead by a CD all in the deep end of the pool. Participants will wear a floatation belt and do exercises to strengthen lower body muscles.
Water Aerobics- Running, jogging, jumping jacks, upper and lower body strengthening. Most of the class will be in the middle of the pool at a depth of 4 feet. May not be the best class for first time aquatic exercise participants as the difficulty level is mid to high impact class.
Water Exercise–Some jumping jacks, running, jogging. Mostly upper body strength and arm workouts. Geared towards all patrons. Difficulty level is mid impact class.
Aqua Flow- A great flow of cardio and strengthening, upper body exercises and movements to help with balance. This class is taught in the shallow end of the pool. This class is low impact and a great class for individuals who have never participated in aquatic exercise before or post operation recovery.
Water Zumba: Come dance with us in the pool. This class moves to the rhythm of the beat while getting your exercise in for the day. During this class you will walk in patterns, do upper body exercises and movements to help with balance. This class is taught in the shallow end of the pool. This is a low impact-mid impact class and also a great class for individuals who have never participated in aquatic exercise before.
*Participants can join any class offered however please exercise at your own pace, do not over exert yourself. Classes last an hour in duration.
*Not all classes listed above maybe offered as it is depended of the instructor’s availability. Please check monthly class schedule for current offerings.
*Lap swim is not permitted during classes, only during open swim. See monthly class schedule for open swim times.
