File a Complaint

How to:


The complaint form is to be used when the performance of an officer or employee with the Cartersville Police Department does not the meet the standard in which the complainant believes is acceptable. This form is not to be used when filing a complaint on anyone other than an employee of the Cartersville Police Department, such as another member of the community or other employee with the city of Cartersville. This form is also not to be used in search of documents that are available under the Open Records Act of Georgia, such as incident and accident reports.  It is also our goal to investigate all complaints regarding procedures or performance of our officers while ensuring the confidentiality of both the complainant and the subject of the complaint. As a means of maintaining our professional standards the Police Department welcomes: Citizen recommendations on improvements in our service delivery and Questions or complaints about an employee's performance.

You may fill out the complaint form and submit by email to the following address: jmdiprima@cartersvillepolice.com. You also have the option to print the complaint form and mail it or hand deliver to the Cartersville Police Department.
