2019 Swim Lessons

Ages: 6 months-Adult

Registration begins:

Registration ends:
on Thursday before session begins or class is full whichever is first

Limited number of spaces per session.

Sessions are Tuesday-Friday for two weeks, 45 minutes per day. 
Saturday morning or Monday (the following week) are make-up days if inclement weather occurs.
1st Session:
Dates: June 4-14
Time: 10am, 11am, 5:35pm or 6:35pm
2nd Session:
Dates: June 18-28
Times: 10am, 11am, 5:35pm or 6:35pm

NOTE: Due to Cartersville Cobias Swim Meet there will not be evening classes on Thursday, June 6, 2019 however, make up class will be Saturday, June 8, 2018. The 5:35pm class will be at 10am and the 6:35pm class will be at 11am.
3rd Session:
Dates: July 9-19
Times: 10am or 11am
All instructors are American Red Cross certified.

Swim Lesson Levels

Parent and Tot - 6 months-3 years of age
Parents must accompany child in water. Teaches children at a young age to feel comfortable in the water while also teaching parents games and songs to play with their children in the water.
Preschool - 3 & 4 years of age
A fun class for this special age group. Teaches children water safety and the basic swimming skills. Parents are not required to be in the pool.

Levels 5 years and above

Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills: helps students feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely.

Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills: give students assurance with the use of fundamental skills of swimming.

Level 3 - Stroke Development: builds on the skills in Level 2 by providing additional guided practice.

Level 4 - Stroke Improvement: develops confidence in the strokes previously learned and to improve aquatic skills.

Level 5 - Stroke Refinement: provides further coordination and refinement of strokes.

Level 6 - Swimming and Skill Proficiency: refines the strokes so students swim them with ease, efficiency, and power over greater distances.

Adult - Swimming is not just for kids. Basic swimming class adapted to the needs of each participant.
